Beeman P1 Air Pistol
600fps in a Single Cocking Stroke
The Beeman P1 is a result of American and German co-operation, simply one of the finest, most innovative and exciting air pistols in decades. One of the Beeman P1’s most exciting features is the dual power feature. At only 11 inches in length, the small size of the air pistol is remarkable considering the velocity.
To achieve the dual power there are two cocking positions. In the .177 caliber, low power is about 480 fps and high power is about 600 fps. The .20 caliber has a low power of about 420 fps and high power of about 500 fps. The lower power setting is safer for shooting in an indoor range, while the higher power setting is much appreciated on field and long-range targets. Either cocking point is reached in a single stroke. The full-power stroke requires a total of just 18 lbs of cocking effort. To cock the Beeman P1, the shooter pulls the “hammer” back to release the cocking arm. The air pistol has a top cocking arm that moves forward; the low power setting is reached when the cocking arm is at a right angle to the frame. Pull the cocking arm as far as it will go, and it will attain the high power setting.
To make this powerful air pistol accurate, we started with a precision 12-groove rifled barrel. Placed in the cocking arm, the barrel, both sights and the scope grooves are locked together in a single unit. The P1 design also exposes the breech end of the barrel when the cocking arm is up, allowing direct and precise loading, and the deep muzzle recess to protect the critical crown area. The Beeman P1 Air Pistol has an ambidextrous manual trigger lock “safety”.
The Beeman P1 spring piston power plant, barrel and all other critical parts are made of the finest gun steel. The frame is anodized, high tensile, aircraft aluminum with a black, semi-matte finish. The two-stage trigger is adjustable from the 28 oz. factory setting. The wide trigger blade has a grooved surface that makes the trigger pull feel extra light and gives a smooth, controlled feel to the air pistol, so necessary for controlled let off.
A fixed front post sight and square notch firearm grade rear sight with micrometer windage and elevation adjustments is standard on the Beeman P1 For extra precision and ease of shooting, a scope can be mounted on the 11 mm scope grooves that are built into the receiver The ambidextrous grips are select grade walnut with genuine hand-cut checkering. The pistol grip and trigger areas are sized to fit just about any Colt 1911A .45 Auto grips available today; this makes it easy for shooters to maintain the feel of their firearm while training inexpensively with the Beeman P1. Airgun shooters can be confident that this air pistol will present a reliable measure of their marksmanship skills while training.
Beeman P3 Air Pistol
Pneumatic Recoilless - .20" ctc
When you see and hold the Beeman P3, you know that you have a serious air pistol in hand. Its design, and even its weight and heft, gives a solid feeling of the very best in the world's semi-automatic handguns: the looks and feel of guns which are not only the arms of the latest James Bond 007 movie, but also the choice of the top military and police forces of the world. The similarity of the P3 to a fine firearm is astonishing: it even sports a simulated decocking lever, magazine release button, trigger guard shaped for two handed firing, and cartridge ejection port and the muzzle opening is an awesome 9 mm (.38) caliber! A very solid rail is built into the top frame.
The Beeman P3 is the first high-quality air pistol to join the ranks of the now elite polymer firearm pistols now being produced in Europe and America. That is, it is a marriage of the finest ordinance steel critical parts wrapped in super strong, fiber-reinforced, space age polymers like the famous Glock and latest Walther firearm pistols.
The very reasonable price of this air gun represents a manufacturing shift to a more efficient, better method of construction, rather than any reduction of quality. This pistol is simply in a much higher league than the lower grade plastic and/or pot metal air pistols, even ones of higher price that depend on gadgetry features, such as inaccurate rapid fire, for their sales appeal. Not only does the P3 air pistil embrace a quantum leap in material technology, but it benefits from functional evolution of valves and other key internal features. It looks and feels like solid German quality, and it is!
Pulling back what appears to be the hammer allows the top frame to be swung up as a charging lever. Just swing it forward, insert the pellet, and then swing it back to compress the air charge-an easy, natural action. An automatic safety prevents "beartrap" closing or accidental discharge. This top frame contains the beautifully rifled steel barrel and both the front and rear sights, all as a single rigid unit. The sights cannot get out of alignment with each other during cocking.
As a single stroke pneumatic, the P3 air pistol has absolutely no recoil or spring jump. A functional, built-in muzzle brake prevents any tendency for muzzle flip. Couple this steadiness with its wonderfully crisp trigger and you have a pistol which just naturally shoots accurately offhand - not just from special testing clamps.
Practice very quietly and inexpensively with the P3 until you can place all your shots well and you will be able to shoot even more accurately with a good firearm pistol. The P3 is a practical air pistol, but it is just a joy to shoot!
